BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--DreamBox Learning® (www.dreambox.com), the leading intelligent adaptive learning™ company, today announced the release of an enhanced version of DreamBox Learning Math® that includes an expanded Common Core State Standards-aligned mathematics curriculum. The updated version is available now, just in time for the 2012-2013 school year.
“Timely and relevant reports make student performance data actionable, thereby empowering teachers with meaningful information so they can be successful right alongside their students.”
With its latest release, DreamBox Learning has dramatically expanded its K-5 grade coverage, adding 120 lessons for grades 4-5 with new content that includes: fraction multiplication and division, standard algorithms, and multi-digit multiplication and division. The program now includes more than 720 lessons that provide instruction, assessment, and practice using interactive virtual manipulatives. These visual representations of abstract mathematical models make concepts more tangible and easier to comprehend, retain and master for students at all learning levels.
“We have a fervent commitment to educators to support stand-out student instruction, assessment and progression,” said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, President and CEO of DreamBox Learning. “This pledge has resulted in DreamBox Learning becoming the pre-eminent adaptive learning solution that sits at the heart of successful blended learning strategies in schools nationwide.”
In addition to the robust curriculum, DreamBox Learning has expanded its reporting features to provide teachers with even more timely and actionable information about individual student comprehension of specific concepts culled from the DreamBox Intelligent Adaptive Learning™ engine. The DreamBox Learning engine collects, processes and responds in real time to 48,000 pieces of information per student per hour, providing a supremely individualized and engaging learning experience for students. Improved functionality also dynamically monitors groups of students on mastery of a given concept, allowing teachers to create more effective lesson plans and fine-tune small group instruction.
“Data has become an incredibly powerful tool for teachers to accelerate the velocity of learning in the classroom and ensure that every student is on a path to academic success,” continued Woolley-Wilson. “Timely and relevant reports make student performance data actionable, thereby empowering teachers with meaningful information so they can be successful right alongside their students.”
DreamBox Learning is currently used in classrooms throughout the U.S., where students have logged on and completed more than 46 million minutes of mathematics lessons in the past year.
