Jim Thom Joins Caesar Systems As Vice President Client Development

Focus on PetroVR and E&P Simulation

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Caesar Systems has appointed Jim Thom as Vice President Client Development to expand the use of PetroVR software and associated decision assurance process for enhanced capability planning and delivering complex E&P projects.

Prior to this engagement with Caesar Systems, Jim Thom held positions as VP sales and business development for Spectraseis, director of partners and strategy at JewelSuite, and regional manager, Middle East with Fugro-Jason.

Before rejoining the oil and gas business, Jim Thom worked at Xerox and IBM, where he developed outsourcing strategies for major corporations based in the United States and Canada. Over the past 15 years, Jim has worked in multiple oil and gas basins in Canada, the United States, Brazil and throughout the Middle East and East Africa in exploration and development scenarios. Jim holds a degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Alberta.

Jim is an enthusiast in technology and learning. He served as director for continuing education for the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG); and he served on the committee for the establishment of the Continuing Education Centre for Canada. The Centre was established in conjunction with University of Calgary in 2002.
