PALM BEACH, Fla.--()--July 19th marked the beginning of the AIA’s (American Institute of Architects) annual convention, which—thanks in part to celebrating their 100-year milestone—was attended by more than 500 Architects and over 100 vendors and suppliers statewide.
As in recent years, the FNGA booth was among the convention’s most popular draws and was built around the theme of natural gas as the ‘Shortcut to the Future.’ While a record 250-plus attendees entered for a chance to win the coveted natural gas grill, Miami’s Virgil Campaneria from HKS Architects was this year’s ‘drawn at random’ recipient.
In addition to the Great Grill Giveaway, the FNGA also received an award for ‘Sponsor of the Year’ and announced the winner of their first ever ‘Creative Energy Award.’ The honor went to BRPH, a Melbourne-based company, which earned a $500 Amex Gift Card, an advertorial in Caribbean Architect and an engraved wood plaque for their creative contribution to ‘U.S. Southern Command Headquarters.’
The Florida Natural Gas Association (FNGA) is a non-profit organization that promotes and encourages the growth of the natural gas industry in the state of Florida. It also seeks to protect the interests of the industry, its members and consumers. Members include distribution companies, transmission, natural gas supply marketers and affiliate members. With a membership of more than 100 companies, the FNGA represents every segment of the natural gas industry.
