CHICAGO--()--In San Antonio on October 11-12, 2012, Q1 Productions will host the 4th Annual Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality Assurance Forum. Building on the success of previous Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forums, this year’s event is aimed at bringing together manufacturing and quality executives from pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and diagnostic organizations. Over 100 life science executives will congregate at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel to debate and discuss the important challenges they face on a day-to-day basis to ensure that high quality, regulatory compliant products are available to all consumers.
The importance of maintaining uninterrupted manufacturing operations within the life science industry and the consequences that can arise from plaguing quality issues has been a major concern over the last year. As the world has seen, through the increasing product shortages caused through manufacturing/quality issues in both facilities and vendor supply chains, when problems arise in manufacturing operations the fall back can be extremely detrimental.
At this year’s forum each industry will have a unique and dedicated tracked program agenda, enabling attendees to delve into specific issues based on their individual industry sectors. Sessions that have been identified as critical to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries will span the entire manufacturing process from discussions on technology transfer and failure investigation through to clean room monitoring and operational excellence strategies.
Additionally, medical device and diagnostic manufacturers will have an industry specific program covering a wide range of challenges with sessions ranging from UDI system regulations and implementation strategies through to strict design controls development and transfer processes.
Each track will also look to address an array of quality assurance concerns as they relate to the individual industry; the topics to be discussed range from CAPA and validation implementation along with internal and supplier auditing techniques. In addition to the educational aspects found in the conference sessions, there will be a variety of formal and informal networking opportunities.
Presenting Organizations to Include: Abbott Vascular, Boston Scientific, GE Healthcare, Procter & Gamble, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck and more.
