Nardello & Co. Appoints Gayle Horwitz as Chief Operating Officer

Former CEO of Battery Park City Authority Joins Leading International Investigative Firm

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nardello & Co., a leading international investigative firm, today announced that it has appointed Gayle M. Horwitz as Chief Operating Officer, effective October 9, 2012. Previously, Ms. Horwitz served as President and CEO of the Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority in New York City, where she was responsible for leading a staff of 150 employees, managing a 92-acre sustainable community, and overseeing operating and capital budgets in excess of $100 million.

In this new role at Nardello & Co., Ms. Horwitz will be responsible for the daily operations of the Firm, as well as short and long-term strategic planning. In addition, she will work with the executive team to expand the Firm’s business and operations into new markets and serve its broad base of clients, including many Fortune 500 corporations, international law firms, and financial institutions.

Prior to being appointed President and CEO of the Battery Park City Authority, Ms. Horwitz served as the First Deputy Comptroller and Chief of Staff in the New York City Comptroller’s Office. Earlier, Ms. Horwitz worked as the Special Assistant to the President of the New York City Board of Education. She also worked in the private sector, including at National Westminster Bancorp as an Assistant Vice President, Consulting Services.

Ms. Horwitz is an active board member for community, cultural and public institutions in New York. She holds an A.B. in Politics from Mount Holyoke College and received a Masters of Public Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
