NEW YORK--()--Effie Worldwide has announced their call for entries for the 2013 North American Effie Awards. Effie Worldwide honors marketing ideas that work, and since 1968, winning an Effie Award has become a global symbol of achievement. New categories have been added to the competition, including a number of categories under the Health Effies umbrella, as well as the Multi-Demographic, Asian and the yearly topical category: Olympics Marketing. An entry fee discount will be offered this year as an incentive for new entrants or entrants who haven't entered the North American Effie Awards competition in the past three years (2010, 2011, 2012 competitions).
“Over the past 45 years, we've adapted categories for the Effie Awards and evolved our educational offerings through Effie Worldwide to reflect trends in business and culture”
A new specialty Effie category focuses on effective marketing communications aimed at the Asian community (in the US or Canada), while the Multi-Demographic category seeks entries for a single brand idea that specifically targeted two or more audiences (Asian, African-American, Hispanic, LGBT, and/or General Market). Olympics Marketing is an Effie Award for cases that had a targeted marketing strategy surrounding the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The Health Effies, will be dedicated to the analysis and celebration of those creating the most effective marketing communications in the arena of OTC and Rx healthcare products and services. Categories under the Health Effies umbrella include Disease Awareness & Education, Healthcare Services, Healthcare Rx: Consumer/DTC, Healthcare Rx: Professional, Healthcare Rx: Devices and Healthcare: OTC.
Shopper Marketing, Brand Experience and the Media Effie awards are some of the most popular specialty awards in the competition returning this year. These categories, along with Business Challenges, Global, GoodWorks, and the Multi-cultural categories will be judged by experts from each area during specialty judging sessions. A complete list of Effie categories, ranging from Automotive to Beverages and Travel and Tourism, with many in between can be found on www.effie.org, along with details on entering, judging and learning more about the Effie Awards.
