CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--()--InfoSystems, one of the fastest-growing technology solutions providers in the Southeast, conducted a nine-day boot camp designed to equip InfoSystems’ IT professionals with skills to earn the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification for Windows Server™ 2008, one of the most widely used operating systems on the market for the servers that power business computer networks.
“Bottom line, our employees are our biggest asset and the key to our growth and success”
“We are committed to having the most highly-skilled and professional technicians available to serve our customers,” said Clay Hales, president and CEO of InfoSystems. “Investing in this type of intense training ensures that our people have the most relevant and up-to-date certifications. It’s not just acronyms and pieces of paper, it’s tangible proof that we are dedicated and passionate about technology and our ability to serve our customers’ business needs.”
The boot camp covered these Microsoft courses over a nine day period:
- Configuring and Troubleshooting a Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure.
- Configuring and Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Domain Services.
- Configuring and Troubleshooting Identity and Access Solutions with Windows Server 2008 Active Directory.
These certifications will prepare the technology professionals to take the courses needed to quickly upgrade to the just-released Microsoft Server 2012 certifications.
“Bottom line, our employees are our biggest asset and the key to our growth and success,” continued Hales. “This year alone, more than 20 individual team members have invested their time and efforts to achieve a combined close to 100 certifications with our industry partners, raising our level of professionalism and expertise. In this case we’re talking technical training, but we invest in our people across the board, whether it’s HR training or an MBA, we focus on continued education and are proud to do so.”
All courses were taught by Robert G. Parsons, president of Automated Office Solutions in Evansville, Indiana. He began his teaching career with Novell in 1990 and became a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) in 1996.
“I think that the Microsoft certifications demonstrate a technology solutions company’s commitment to learning,” said Parsons. “It shows that staying abreast of changing technology is beneficial to providing the best service to the client. Attending the classes and performing the labs allows an IT professional to have the practical skills to best serve the client’s needs.”
According to Microsoft, a Windows Server™ 2008 MCSA credential differentiates an IT professional as better able to work with the operating system in a real-world business context and will ensure that he or she has the skills to successfully implement, manage and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft Windows® operating environments. Microsoft credentials also offer IT professionals and the companies that employ them a competitive edge by validating specific experience required by network and systems administrators in today’s constantly changing business environment.
