Eaton Supporting Deep Incentive Program for Hybrid Vehicles in California

GALESBURG, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has aligned with the California Hybrid Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) to assist California-based fleets wanting to purchase low-emission, fuel efficient medium- and heavy-duty hybrid vehicles. These hybrid vehicles will result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, lower fuel costs and reduce the use of petroleum-based products.

The Hybrid Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project is a program to help speed the introduction of hybrid trucks with financial incentives ranging from $10,000 to $45,000 for eligible vehicles. Some 87 bus and truck chassis configurations from a variety of vehicle manufacturers are equipped with Eaton hybrid systems and eligible for the incentives.
