ETA Advertising Founder and President Recognized at 2012 Amazing Women Awards

LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cindy Allen, founder and president of Long Beach-based ETA Advertising, has been recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year at the Long Beach Press-Telegram’s third annual Amazing Women Awards. The prestigious Sept. 12 gala, held at the Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood, honored six category winners from among 18 finalists nominated by Press-Telegram readers. A nine-judge panel selected the finalists and then one winner from categories, including Art, Athletics, Education, Volunteerism, Healthcare and Entrepreneurship.

Allen began her career with a short stint as a Marine followed by 10 years as a Long Beach police officer. In 2005, she founded ETA – built on a foundation of teamwork and consummate attention to philanthropy. Today, she encourages her staff to give back to the community and has taken employees to her home state of Kentucky to assist the impoverished in Appalachia. Her well-rounded background and deep-rooted values have yielded success in business and in life outside the boardroom.
