City of Tyler, TX Uses DriveCam to Recognize Safest City Drivers

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DriveCam, Inc., a global Driver Risk Management Company, today announced that the City of Tyler, TX has committed to a 5-year agreement to deploy all of its solid waste, transit and public works vehicles on DriveCam’s Managed Services Program. In addition, the City has committed to implementing DriveCam’s Fleet Tracking solution. As a result of the information provided by the DriveCam Program, Tyler was able to determine its safest drivers and recognized them in a public ceremony.

Seven solid waste drivers were recognized at the event held on Aug. 29, 2012. These seven employees participated in the DriveCam Program for the six-month period from Jan. 1-June 30 without displaying any risky or coachable behavior while driving city-owned vehicles. Each individual received a “Top Performer” City of Tyler shirt and a framed certificate presented by City Manager, Mark McDaniel.
