ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--()--The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) announced today that Donald Flynn has been appointed CEO of the association effective immediately. Flynn has served as the association’s CFO since April 2012 and will continue to serve in that role as well.
“His extensive experience in both association management and finance will be a benefit to us as our state association expands services and benefits to our members statewide.”
Prior to joining CAR, Flynn served five years as CFO of the 155,000-member California Association of REALTORS® where his responsibilities included oversight of the association’s strategic mission, as well as the operations of the finance department and aspects of human services.
“We are very excited to have Don as our new CEO/CFO,” said CAR President Scott Matthias. “His extensive experience in both association management and finance will be a benefit to us as our state association expands services and benefits to our members statewide.”
A graduate of Biola University in La Mirada, Calif., Flynn is a Certified Public Accountant and began his career at Romberger, Wilson and Beeson (Glendale, Calif.) before taking his first association management position as the director of operations for Motor Car Dealer Services, Inc. in Sacramento. During his tenure from 2005- 2012 at the California Association of REALTORS® Flynn oversaw the for-profit subsidiary of that organization called Real Estate Business Services, Inc., along with his duties as CFO.
