WholesaleInsurance.net Seeks Entries for $6,000 Video Scholarship Contest

ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WholesaleInsurance.net, a leading national provider of online life insurance quotes and financial planning services, encourages high school students nationwide to enter their $6,000 video scholarship contest. Entries will be accepted through Wednesday, October 31st.

The contest is timed to coincide with Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM), an industry-wide awareness event that ends on September 30th. All month, the company has promoted the scholarship through their Facebook page and website contest page, which contains official rules and submission instructions.

The contest has generated interest from students as well as teachers, including those involved in video production classes. To enter, students should make a short video (30 seconds to two minutes long) explaining why life insurance is important to them.

“Life insurance isn’t something most high-school students think about, but we’re hoping it starts a conversation,” said Ryan Pinney, VP of Sales & Marketing at WholesaleInsurance.net. “It’s a great opportunity for kids and parents to connect and have a discussion about the way they want their future to be, and how life insurance can help make that future happen.”

While students think about why life insurance is important to them, WholesaleInsurance.net urges adults to stop and think, too. Approximately 95 million adult Americans have no life insurance coverage at all, while tens of millions more are underinsured.

College is expensive and costs are rising. We hope our scholarship helps raise awareness about life insurance and financial planning for families.”
