New Large Format Digital Signage to be Installed in South Station-Boston

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Outdoor is pleased to announce the upcoming installation of two large format digital screens on the concourse of Boston’s South Station.

Available to advertisers beginning January 2013, these new digital screens, each measuring 17.7’Wx10’H, will provide further opportunity for brands to be seen and heard by the station’s over 4 million monthly visitors. The hanging displays located on either side of the station will offer crystal clear video and high definition audio capabilities using focused directional speakers.

Currently, South Station is home to one of the country’s largest station dominations boasting over 70 static advertising faces and experiential marketing opportunities. Past advertisers include Apple, JetBlue, Merrill Lynch, Samsung, Stella Artois, Maker's Mark, Pepsi, Tropicana, and Mohegan Sun among many other high profile companies. A digital option at South Station creates additional advertising opportunities for national and local companies, allowing for versatility in creative executions and offering brands the capability to display multiple ads. The new screens will be manufactured and installed by Daktronics, the largest digital sign company in the world, known for their contrast and brightness standards and for creating high profile displays throughout the country, such as the Budweiser and Coca-Cola signs in Times Square and the multiple displays at the Amway Center in Orlando. Utilizing a 6mm pitch between pixels, these Daktronics screens promise to provide South Station advertisers the highest display quality in the industry.
