OKEMOS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Doug Carr got started early in business. As a 12 year old, he honed his customer service skills selling tomatoes door to door. You see, Doug came from a family of entrepreneurs and understands the role small businesses play in the American economy.

Carr, a father of two and an MSU grad, has lived in Lansing for 34 years. Early in his career Doug put his B.A. in Communication to work in direct marketing, helping small business owners generate traffic in the automotive, insurance and healthcare industries. He has worked with the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), and earned the coveted Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification through the Michigan Society of Association Executives. Following his stint at SBAM, he served as the CEO of the Greater Lansing Home Builders Association. Prior to TMN creating a position for him, Carr ran CarrCoaching.com and AmericasMarketingExpert.com training business owners to promote and market their businesses more effectively.
