Venture Capital in the Rockies Fall Conference Debuts Early-Growth Companies

Fourteen Companies Diverse in Funding Stages and Industries Will Present the Next-Generation Technologies

BIG SKY, Mont.--()--The Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and KPMG LLP today announced the presenting early stage and growth companies for the fifth annual Venture Capital in the Rockies Fall conference (VCIR Fall 2012). This year’s conference features 14 companies based in the Rocky Mountain region that range from seed stage through expansion capital and cover the spectrum from information technology, software and telecommunications.

“It’s our vision to connect the various players in the region to help establish new relationships and greater funding opportunities.”

The VCIR Fall 2012 conference will be held at the Big Sky Resort in Big Sky, Mont., September 26-28, 2012.

“The VCIR Fall conference is evidence that the Rocky Mountain region offers the perfect ecosystem to invest in – and run – companies while maintaining an incredible quality of life,” said David Eberly, partner, KPMG LLP and conference co-chairman.

Greg Gianforte, founder of RightNow Technologies and serial entrepreneur in computer networking and software industries, will open the conference. Brian McPeek, COO of The Nature Conservancy, will give the keynote address.

This year’s presenting companies are both diverse in their stages of funding and the industries they represent.

  • Business Controls, Inc. is a leading SaaS provider of incident reporting/case management software and risk consulting services.
  • CitySpark is a local event discovery portal that enables users to discover the hundreds of interesting and relevant events and activities going on all around them.
  • CLVR is an interactive video company that transforms passive videos into shared interactive experiences that can be distributed to millions of viewers to propel sales, knowledge and brand exposure.
  • DH2i develops application virtualization software that enables enterprise applications to move freely and transparently within and between heterogeneous physical, virtual and cloud environments with no interruption in service.
  • Drop Ship builds technology, software and services to help retailers and suppliers with their drop ship needs.
  • LVM Inc., develops VXSuite, a service delivery platform that brings together seamless and effortless communication anywhere, anytime on any device.
  • Meal Ticket develops an iPhone app and uses real-time GPS technology that allows restaurants to deliver local restaurant coupons to customers where they are to provide instant savings on the spot.
  • Rival {Theory} develops a comprehensive artificial intelligence solution for the video game market.
  • Schedulicity is the leading online scheduling solution for small businesses.
  • Submittable is a SaaS solution that manages the online submission process for publishers where users submit documents, videos and other content.
  • TerraEchos, Inc. solves security problems by providing the ability to detect, analyze, correlate and respond in milliseconds to insights hidden in streaming data.
  • VeraLight is a medical device company that develops SCOUT DS®, the first noninvasive optical skin test that can replace conventional blood-based diabetes screening.
  • Zinc Air, Inc., develops grid-level energy storage solutions.
