Alan Castillo was promoted to principal from senior manager. Castillo is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services group, where he helps corporate and private equity clients with a full range of operational transaction services, including integrations, divestitures and joint ventures. In the past three years, he has focused on the technology and health care sectors. Castillo earned an MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
Mark Jain was admitted to the partnership. He was formerly a senior manager. Jain works in Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Office, where he provides advisory services to the banking and capital markets sector, specifically within brokerage, wealth management and wholesale banking. Jain worked in the firm’s New York office before relocating to San Francisco in 2009. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Lehigh University. Jain is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Carin Kaltschmidt was promoted to principal from senior manager. Kaltschmidt is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Advisory practice and serves in its program management performance improvement practice, focusing on complex program management for enterprise transformation programs. She has spent the majority of her 20-year career providing program and change management services to companies in the healthcare, technology and financial services industries. Kaltschmidt graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science from Humboldt State University. She is a certified Project Management Professional.
Howard Ro was admitted to the partnership. He was formerly a senior manager. Ro is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Tax practice, where he focuses on real estate funds, REITs and partnerships. He worked in the firm’s New York office before transferring to San Francisco in 2011. Ro earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in California and New York and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Pension Real Estate Association.
Richard Anderson was promoted to executive director from senior manager. Anderson is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Office, where he leads the Performance Improvement – Finance Management Advisory practice in the West Region. He has 25 years of experience as a consultant to financial services companies, focusing on finance function process improvement and systems. Anderson is a graduate of Florida State University.
Amir Golan was promoted to executive director from senior manager. Golan is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Office, where he provides process and control and anti-money laundering services to broker dealers and other financial institutions. He worked in the firm’s New York office before transferring to the San Francisco office in 2008. Golan earned a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Scott Levy was promoted to executive director from senior manager. Levy is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Office, where he works in the On-call Advisory Services practice providing technical assistance to investment banks, law firms, audit teams and transaction diligence teams. Levy primarily focuses on revenue recognition, stock compensation, business combinations, consolidations and SEC reporting. He has worked in the firm’s Washington DC, London, San Francisco and New York offices before returning to the Bay Area in 2008. Levy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
Dave Seo was promoted to executive director from senior manager. Seo is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, where he focuses on tax due diligence and structuring for mergers and acquisitions, primarily for Bay Area private equity and corporate clients. Seo received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
