Ernst & Young LLP’s San Jose Office Announces New Leadership Promotions

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ernst & Young LLP recently announced promotions of professionals based in its San Jose office. Matthew Dale was admitted to the partnership. He was formerly a senior manager. Dale is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Assurance practice where he serves large, multinational technology clients, focusing on the semiconductor, networking and computer industries. He relocated to San Jose in 1998 after having worked in the Sydney office of the Ernst & Young member firm in Australia. Dale earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in California and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Nicolas Kelpe was promoted to principal from senior manager. Kelpe is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s National Tax practice where he is part of the Global Compliance and Reporting team. He has most recently served clients needing finance transformation with an emphasis on shared services. Kelpe earned degrees in Accounting and Management from Annonciade College, Monaco. He is a Certified Outsourcing Professional and a member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.

Ron Murphy was admitted to the partnership. He was formerly a senior manager. Murphy is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services practice where he advises private equity investors and strategic acquirers in merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, with an emphasis on the technology sector. He worked in the firm’s McLean, Virginia, office before transferring to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2005. Murphy earned an MBA from the Wharton School, a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Tech. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in California and South Carolina and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Kirk Parrish was admitted to the partnership. He was formerly a senior manager. Parrish is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Assurance practice where he provides audit services to global technology clients based in the Bay Area. Prior to relocating to San Jose in 2006, he worked in the firm’s Houston office and completed a three-year overseas assignment with the Ernst & Young member firm in the UK. Parrish earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Houston Baptist University. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in California and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
