SAN DIEGO--()--Wealth by Design for Women(sm) announces the upcoming invitation-only event, A View from the Top: Perspectives on Success Now That We’re Here, a reaction to the widely controversial article by Anne-Marie Slaughter featured in The Atlantic: “Why Women Still Can’t Have it All.”
“Why Women Still Can’t Have it All.”
The event will bring together a panel of top-level women in business to discuss what ‘having it all’ means to them and whether or not women today truly feel like they can ‘have it all.’ The panel includes accomplished San Diego-based women:
- Cindy Erie, President & Co-Founder, E-World Recyclers, LLC
- Emilie Hersh, CEO, Interknowlogy
- Linda Strand, CEO/President, Independent Energy Solutions
- Susan Taylor, Executive Director, External Affairs, Scripps Health and former news anchor for San Diego’s NBC 7 News
- Nancy Widmann, Author, I Didn’t See it Coming and former President, CBS Radio
- Julie Wright, President & Founder, (W)right on Communications
The event is hosted by Bridget Grimes, Janet Acheatel, CFP®, and Elisabeth Cullington, CFP®, CDFA of Wealth by Design for Womensm, a practice of HoyleCohen. Attendance is limited to 100 women professionals and will begin with a networking reception before the program opens with special guest panelists. As part of the evening program, attendees will have an opportunity to converse with each other at roundtables about topics relating to the idea of ‘having it all’ and how each has arrived to her definition of success.
Elisabeth Cullington, CFP®, CDFA, Managing Director and Co-Founder of HoyleCohen’s Women’s Practice offered:
This subject is as timely and relevant as ever. Today, an increasing number of professional women face and make important, sometimes life-changing tradeoffs routinely as they aspire to success both at work and at home. We work with many of these women at HoyleCohen and have seen that success – and the fulfillment that should come with it – starts with a clear understanding of what ‘having it all’ means and why it may or may not be important to each. We are pleased to have assembled a group of panelists who have achieved the professional success to which many women aspire and who are willing to share their stories. We have designed this event to continue the conversation and hope that it serves as a catalyst for each attendee to clarify her perspective on this important subject.
