NEW YORK--()--MyPublisher, a leader in personalized photo books and New York’s top digital printer, announces the appointment of veteran merchandiser and designer, Cambria Evans as Vice President and Creative Director of Cards and Stationery. With billions of pictures taken each year, MyPublisher is also making digital photos meaningful again with the launch of more than 500 new card and stationery designs that customers can personalize using photos taken with their mobile phones and digital cameras.
“The new card and stationery line is a natural progression for our company as consumer trends show that 10% of people are no longer buying cards in stores, but instead using their photos to customize them online”
MyPublisher is one of only two profitable digital photo companies in the photo application and printing industry, and has sold/shipped over five million photo books around the world since 2002. More than eight million users have downloaded MyPublisher’s innovative photo applications to create high-quality photo books, scrapbooks and canvas prints and now, customers can use the site to customize hundreds of cards and stationery options with any image or photograph they want.
Evans’ main roles at MyPublisher include designing and overseeing a new brand of unique cards and stationery that will launch on a new website January 2013. The line will feature a variety of birth announcements, wedding invitations and holiday greetings that people can customize with their personal photos.
“The new card and stationery line is a natural progression for our company as consumer trends show that 10% of people are no longer buying cards in stores, but instead using their photos to customize them online,” said Carl Navarre, founder and CEO of MyPublisher. “With a design pro like Cambria driving the new line, we have the ability to grow this number and provide more card and stationery options for our customers to continue personalizing online.”
Preparing for the new line produced by Evans, MyPublisher is launching 500 exclusive designs just in time for the holiday season. The cards and stationery are printed on extra heavy, thick cardstock and are offered in five style options including rounded corners, square, panoramic, flat and folded. Available in semi-gloss or matte finishes, prices for the cards and stationery range from $1.29-$2.79.
“MyPublisher is known for offering the most product options with the best paper and materials in the business,” said Cambria Evans. “I am excited to help my team continue to excel above the competition and to create fabulous new design options that customers can customize and make their own.”
A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Evans began her career as a merchandising art director for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. There she designed numerous card and stationery collections that were sold under brands including Martha Stewart Crafts, Martha Stewart Kodak, Martha Stewart Shutterfly and Cranes. She recently served for over two years as a senior graphic designer at Victoria’s Secret and is the author and illustrator of children’s books “Bone Soup” and “Martha Moth Makes Socks.” Evans is the founder of J. Bartyn, a New York based design studio that has provided custom paper goods for numerous celebrities and leading online card companies. She is also the winner of the 2012 Louie Award from the National Card and Stationery Association for the Best Photo Card of the Year.
