During The Brick Companies (TBC) Classic golf tournament being held on October 2, at Queenstown Harbor on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, TBC and Standard Solar, Inc. executives will showcase a new ground mounted array of 268 solar panels. The new solar array, completed in July 2012, will produce approximately 78 megawatt-hours of clean electricity each year equal to offsetting greenhouse gas emissions from approximately 12 passenger vehicles per year. The array was designed and installed by Standard Solar. Photo opportunities and media tours will be available as part of the event. | |
| The installation of the solar array at Queenstown directly supports TBC’s mission to create memorable places for current and future generations through social responsibility and environmental leadership. | ||
| Proceeds from The Brick Companies Classic will support the programs and initiatives of The National Wildlife Federation and The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, in direct alignment with its mission to reconnect people with the land and inspire others to do the same. | ||
