HERNDON, Va.--()--Xceedium Inc., the leader of privileged identity and access management solutions for the hybrid cloud, today announced that former ActivIdentity Director, Patricia Arcano, and former Microsoft Director, Carolyn Brubaker, have joined the company as Vice President of Government Sales and Vice President of Strategic Alliances, respectively. Arcano will lead all of Xceedium government sales initiatives and play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers meet cloud migration goals and security mandates. Brubaker will oversee the development of strategic cloud providers and other industry partnerships to support the security and compliance needs of both public sector and commercial customers.
“We are thrilled to have both of them as Xceedium continues on its dynamic growth path.”
“Patricia and Carolyn have proven track records and we are delighted to have them join our team. Coming from the number-one smartcard provider, Patricia has deep experience helping government agencies meet security mandates and improve their risk postures. Carolyn has built and nurtured strategic partnerships at Microsoft and other technology titans. Her work will ensure that our customers continue to receive the innovative solutions they need to securely leverage cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures that are so important to their missions,” noted Glenn Hazard, CEO of Xceedium. “We are thrilled to have both of them as Xceedium continues on its dynamic growth path.”
The addition of Arcano and Brubaker enhances the company’s leadership role in hybrid-cloud security and compliance, particularly for organizations that must address the severe risks that privileged users pose to systems and data. Arcano brings to Xceedium more than 20 years of high-technology-solution sales experience and extensive knowledge helping government agencies meet HSPD-12 and OMB Memorandum 11-11 security mandates requiring the adoption of smart cards for system access. Arcano will be applying her talents to assist public sector customers in securing privileged user sessions and administrative accounts, an issue the FISMA 2011 Report, released March 7, 2012, outlines as one of the biggest issues facing government agencies today.
Arcano joined Xceedium after serving nine years at ActivIdentity, Inc. as Director of Sales for the North America Public Sector, where she was responsible for leading all new government business acquisition efforts. Prior to becoming Director of NA Public Sector sales in 2003, Arcano held the position as Director of Federal Sales, where she led all DoD and most civilian agency efforts for three years. Arcano previously held several sales positions, managing commercial, state/local, and federal government accounts at various companies including Entrust, Cognos Corporation, and Pitney Bowes.
Brubaker brings more than 20 years of assisting private- and public-sector organizations in streamlining operations and improving results through strategic partnerships. With her deep knowledge and proven track record of building and supporting partners, Brubaker will develop the ecosystem required to fully address the security and compliance challenges that large organizations face as they push beyond traditional datacenters and adopt hybrid-cloud architectures. Brubaker joins Xceedium following a long and distinguished career at Microsoft Corporation, where she led several different strategic policy programs and business development initiatives. Prior to Microsoft, she also held positions with Oracle Corporation, as Director of Federal Partner Relations, and Litton/PRC, where she was responsible for growing the company from $300M to $800M.
