Windham Global Solutions’ Second Annual Client Conference Addresses Current Topics in Asset Allocation and Portfolio Risk Management

Sessions focused on new research and applications to portfolio management

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boston-based investment technology provider and consultant Windham Global Solutions (www.windhamgs.com), a division of Windham Capital Management, hosted its second annual Client Conference. Titled “New Perspectives on Risk,” the event took place at the Taj Boston Hotel on September 5^th and 6^th.

This year’s event builds on the success of the First Annual Conference in 2011, which was held at the Boston Harbor Hotel. It featured a full day and a half of programming and drew over 60 attendees from the US, Canada, and Europe.

The conference featured presentations by a number of thought-leaders from the industry and academia, including Windham Founder Mark Kritzman; Nicholas Barberis of the Yale School of Management; Jeffrey Pontiff of Boston College; David Turkington of State Street Associates; and Thomas Felker of Seattle-based North Forty Management. Topics covered include recent research on stock pricing and behavioral finance, as well as Mr. Kritzman’s new research on liquidity and portfolio choice.

Attendees also participated in a second day of workshops focused on Windham’s software products, primarily The Windham Portfolio Advisor®, a leading asset allocation, risk management and simulation software used by asset managers worldwide for the construction of efficient portfolios.
