Access Cash Names Jack Antonini to Board of Directors

TORONTO--()--Access Cash, a premier Canadian automated teller machine (ATM) operator that manages the country’s largest network of ATMs, has named Mr. Jack Antonini, the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Cardtronics, to its Board of Directors. This announcement follows the March 2012 acquisition of Access Cash by Morgan Stanley Global Private Equity, a leading private equity firm that has invested over $8 billion on a global basis since 1985.

“Our goals for growth are ambitious, and I look forward to the support and strategic guidance Jack will provide as we pursue our business objectives. We are delighted to welcome Jack to the Board.”

Mr. Antonini is an experienced executive in the ATM, banking and related financial services industries. He served as President and CEO of Cardtronics from 2003 until 2009, during which time Cardtronics grew its ATM fleet from 8,000 ATMs in the U.S. to over 33,000 worldwide, quadrupling the fleet while growing revenue by seven times and earnings by 17 times. During Mr. Antonini’s tenure at Cardtronics, he led the successful implementation of the first ATM branding agreement with a U.S. bank and helped grow the Cardtronics customer base to include six of the top 10 U.S. banks and seven of the top 11 U.S. merchants.

Access Cash is a pioneer in ATM bank-branding agreements in Canada, having signed the first of its kind with BMO Bank of Montreal. Mr. Antonini will play an instrumental role in expanding Access Cash’s top position in the Canadian bank-branded market and in further developing Access Cash’s presence across the North American ATM market.

“Access Cash is revolutionizing the Canadian ATM market through its bank branding model, and I look forward to working with the company to create a world-class ATM platform. Canada’s strong economy and sound financial institutions present tremendous opportunities for Access Cash to grow its market presence through new relationships with key financial institutions and retailers,” said Mr. Antonini.

“Jack Antonini has a well-earned reputation for excellence in this industry because of his unparalleled track record of success,” said Chris Chandler, CEO of Access Cash. “Our goals for growth are ambitious, and I look forward to the support and strategic guidance Jack will provide as we pursue our business objectives. We are delighted to welcome Jack to the Board.”

Prior to his tenure at Cardtronics, Mr. Antonini served as Executive Vice President of Wachovia (formerly First Union) from 1997 to 2000, where he was responsible for the Consumer Banking Group, including mortgage lending and servicing, credit cards, auto financing and student financing, as well as the internet, phone and ATM delivery channels for all lines of business. Mr. Antonini has also served as Vice Chairman and CFO of First USA, at the time one of the three largest credit card companies in the U.S., from 1995 to 1997, and Vice Chairman, President and CFO of USAA Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Antonini has held numerous board appointments throughout his career, including serving on the Board of Directors of MasterCard International from 1991 to 1995.
