ANAHEIM, Calif.--()--CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2012, the state’s largest trade show, opens next week at the Anaheim Convention Center. Running Oct. 2-4, CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2012 features more than 50 free educational seminars on topics ranging from social media, to short sales, and technology training.
“Closing EXPO Luncheon: Plugging Into Your Potential”
The week will kick-off on Tuesday, Oct. 2, with PRE EXPO, a ticketed event featuring three educational tracks focused on distressed properties, property management, and social media. New for 2012, each ticket to PRE also includes a ticket to the Tuesday Luncheon with real estate coach Brian Buffini.
PRE will conclude with “Speed Dating,” an opportunity for attendees to get face-time with a selection of the day's speakers. Attendees will get to ask questions and learn more about the topics that matter most to the industry.
Following PRE EXPO, CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2012 will begin with the opening of the Exhibit Hall at 5 p.m. This year’s exhibit hall features more than 150 booths, including C.A.R.’s “Social Setup” booth, where REALTORS® can test their social media smarts, get Twitter tech, and learn about the fundamentals of Facebook from C.A.R. staff and other industry experts.

Wednesday, Oct. 3
“Critical Issues in Lending Today”
10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
A panel discussion about today’s complicated lending environment and what’s being done to fix it. C.A.R. CEO Joel Singer will talk with top executives from Bank of America, Chase, and Citibank about how to effectively work distressed transactions, what new programs and services are being offered, and how to better serve clients’ needs.
“2013 Housing Market Forecast Luncheon”
12 noon – 1:30 p.m.
C.A.R. Vice President and Chief Economist Leslie Appleton-Young presents the Association’s 2013 Housing Market Forecast. Appleton-Young will share insights about California’s housing market, including projected home sales, median prices, housing affordability, and mortgage rates and availability.
Thursday, Oct. 4
“Housing Market Trends: What’s Next for Real Estate”
2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Join C.A.R.’s Chief Economist Leslie Appleton-Young and Senior Economist Selma Hepp as they discuss future market trends with a dynamic panel of experts. The panel will take a look at today’s top real estate trends and what they mean for 2013 and beyond.

Thursday’s Closing Luncheon honoring C.A.R. servicemen and women will inspire everyone as Iraq War veteran and 2011’s Dancing with the Stars winner J.R. Martinez takes the stage telling his motivating tale of optimism, survival, and perseverance.
