LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Lifeline Program today announced the launch of a new "Lifeline Bucket List Contest" with a holiday, all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles to meet Betty White and celebrate the holidays with her at the L.A. Betty White, along with Hollywood’s premier snow effects firm, MagicSnow, will transform the L.A. Zoo into a real-life winter wonderland for the event. Snow will fall from the sky as carolers serenade Betty White and the Lifeline Bucket List Contest winner during their private tour of the Zoo.

Along the way, they will see hundreds of animals including gorillas, elephants, koalas and more plus the opportunity to pose with a frosty snowman at the bear habitat in sunny Southern California!

The contest is open to all legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States (including Washington D.C., but excluding Alaska, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Texas), where not prohibited by law, who have reached sixty-four (64) years of age at the time they enter the contest, and who have an email address and internet access prior to the start of the contest period. The winner will be announced Nov. 16, 2012.

To participate, submit an essay on the following topic: “Why meeting Betty White is at the top of my holiday Bucket List,” along with a fully and accurately completed contest registration form (“Registration Form”) provided by Lifeline at: www.facebook.com/LifelineProgram before the end of the contest. Submissions must be posted on the Facebook contest page and may not exceed 200 words in length.

The Lifeline Bucket List Contest grand prize will include round trip economy airfare for one (1) winner, ground Limo transportation from Los Angeles International Airport to hotel to be determined by Lifeline, two night accommodations in Los Angeles and ground transportation along with the opportunity to meet Emmy-award winning actress Betty White at the Los Angeles Zoo on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.

The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Griffith Park at the junction of the Ventura (134) and Golden State (5) freeways, where it hosts over 1.6 million visitors each year.
