LAKE CITY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In response to the demand for more rapid and efficient medical imaging services, Shands Lake Shore Regional Medical Center announced today that it has selected Radisphere as its new radiology services partner. The Radisphere partnership will provide the medical staff at Shands Lake Shore and the Lake Shore Imaging Center with comprehensive subspecialty radiology coverage and diagnostic reports 24/7/365.

Through a combination of local onsite radiologists and a dedicated team of subspecialty radiologists, Radisphere will collaborate with Shands Lake Shore’s Medical Staff to provide timely and accurate diagnoses for the highest levels of patient care. Radisphere employs veteran radiologists with expertise in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, body, women’s and pediatric imaging. They are all board certified by the American Board of Radiology and are located in the United States. They also are required to have academic and/or fellowship experience and must interpret an average of 10,000 to 15,000 cases annually.

To better collaborate and communicate with Radisphere’s radiologists, Shands Lake Shore physicians will use Radisphere’s iPhone® application to access critical diagnostic information at the point of patient care. The secure application not only facilitates the delivery of radiologic reports and critical findings, but it also enables instant and direct communication between physicians and radiologists when consultations are needed.
