WESTON, Fla.--()--Midtown Athletic Club is ready to introduce the Weston community to the “New Midtown,” the result of a five-year, $10 million renovation project. The club’s updated front entrance, expanded childcare facilities, spacious family locker rooms and brand new, 170-seat M Café, are just a few of the highlights that make Midtown the place to be for family health, fitness and tennis.
“We take pride in our ability to offer a fitness and tennis experience unlike any other in South Florida”
“Midtown is a state-of-the-art, resort-like fitness and tennis club that maintains a neighborhood feel,” says General Manager Steve Strumpf. “We offer a great place for members to connect and socialize while enhancing their health, well-being and passion for sports, especially tennis.”
One of the best opportunities to improve your social and physical well-being at the club can be found at the new M Café. The café provides spacious indoor seating as well as an outdoor seating section overlooking the club’s two swimming pools and 24 clay-surface tennis courts. Members will also have access to two new private meeting rooms designed for professional and personal events. Featuring walk-up counter service and a healthy menu, the M Café is the perfect place to go for a quick and nutritious bite to eat.
The renovated club also includes new family locker rooms and an expanded Kidtown childcare area designed to enhance the family experience. From infants to 11-year-olds, Kidtown has something for everyone. Older kids can hang out in the “Varsity Club” gaming center, which includes complimentary use of computers, Nintendo Wii and Xbox Kinect. There is also a general play and arts and crafts area, and new cribs and swings, for Kidtown’s younger members to enjoy.
With the final pieces now in place, Midtown is kicking off their Grand Opening celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony and cocktail party on the evening of Friday, October 12, headlined by Latin Grammy Award winner Nestor Torres. Then, the club will welcome the Weston community to “Meet the New Midtown” at an Open House event on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14. Guests are invited to tour the club from 9:00AM-2:00PM and take advantage of complimentary fitness classes, Pilates reformer sessions, tennis clinics, health screenings, swim lessons, special membership offers, and more.
“We take pride in our ability to offer a fitness and tennis experience unlike any other in South Florida,” says Strumpf. “But our top priority is to ensure that our members and guests experience a warm, welcome, and comfortable atmosphere. We want people to feel like Midtown is where they belong.”
