AICPA to Release Results of Quarterly CGMA Global Economic Forecast on Thursday, Oct. 4

Financial Experts to Give Insight on Global, U.S., U.K. and Other Regional Economic Conditions

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Institute of CPAs will announce the results of the third quarter CGMA Global Economic Forecast at 7 A.M. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 4. The forecast and related CGMA Global Economic Index provides a comprehensive outlook on world and regional economies from the perspective of CEOs, CFOs, controllers and other senior finance executives who hold the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation and guide strategic decisions in 62 countries.

The quarterly forecast, which the AICPA produces in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, includes the perspective of nearly 1,200 management accountants on global and regional conditions in the U.S., U.K., Europe, Asia, and other developed and emerging countries. The forecast also includes CGMAs’ outlook for revenue and profits and plans for spending and hiring. The participating CGMAs completed surveys for the quarterly forecast between Aug. 22 and Sept. 19, 2012. Results will be posted on www.cgma.org.

Arleen Thomas, AICPA senior vice president for management accounting, and Jim Morrison, chief financial officer of Teknor Apex Co., will be available for interviews on the survey results.
