HCR ManorCare Deploys Courion Access Insight to Manage Risk, Streamline Security Operations

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HCR ManorCare has deployed the Access Insight™ access intelligence solution from Courion Corporation to better identify, quantify and manage potential risk of improper access to its systems and resources across 500 health care facilities in 32 states.

Access Insight helps the company reduce the complexity of the myriad access rights it has provisioned to its workforce of 60,000, and manage its ever-growing security and compliance workload.

Access Insight portrays risk in graphical profiles (e.g., heat maps) based on data volumes larger than any human brain could process. As a result, HCR ManorCare now clearly sees, on a continuous basis, whether the right people have the right access to the right systems and are doing the right things with that access.

To do this, Access Insight gauges access complexity, such as that inherent in nested Active Directory groups, and provides trend information on roles, provisioning activity and password resets by region, department and division.
