STERLING, Va. & TORONTO--(Fixmo, the mobile risk management (MRM) company, today announced that it has been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator. Fixmo will present its mobile security, device management and compliance solutions [Fixmo SentinelTM and Fixmo SafeZoneTM] during the 2012 SINET Showcase to be held October 25th at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. The Security Innovation Network (SINET) initiatives are designed to advance innovation and enable collaboration between the public and private sectors to defeat global cybersecurity threats.)--
“I look forward to presenting mobile security, compliance and information assurance technologies that empower companies and government agencies to maximize their use of mobile devices and embrace the bring-your-own-device approach while mitigating their risks and maintaining compliance, at SINET 16.”
Eighty emerging technology companies applied and were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee for the opportunity to present innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well commercial, investment and research communities. Fixmo will be one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.
“Every year the quality of companies applying to present as a SINET 16 Innovator continues to impress the Showcase steering committee. Since 2010 we have received hundreds of applications in our efforts to advance innovation, lead change and build trusted global collaboration models between the public and private sectors to defeat cybersecurity threats. We are confident that by raising the awareness of Fixmo and other finalists’ capabilities, there will be an enhanced opportunity to impact the most pressing technology needs of the Federal Government and private industry – and, ultimately, the protection of our nation’s Critical Infrastructure and Command and Control systems. In this light, I am excited to announce the class of 2012 SINET 16 Innovators,” said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Principal of SINET.
“By the very nature of BYOD, mobile devices are quickly becoming a primary attack vector for cyber criminals and a growing source of corporate data leaks and compliance breaches. The problem is that many IT professionals do not fully grasp the mobile vulnerabilities and exposures that could threaten their environment and how to protect themselves against such exploits while maintaining compliance,” said Daniel Ford, CSO, Fixmo. “I look forward to presenting mobile security, compliance and information assurance technologies that empower companies and government agencies to maximize their use of mobile devices and embrace the bring-your-own-device approach while mitigating their risks and maintaining compliance, at SINET 16.”
