OMAHA, Neb.--()--Right at Home, a leading international provider of in-home companion and personal care to seniors and others, has reported that total revenue since the company began franchising in 2000 has surpassed the $1 billion milestone, representing more than 50 million hours of care provided to more than 75,000 seniors and the disabled in their homes.

With annual sales averaging more than $1 million per Right at Home office, 2011 represented the best year in the company’s 12 years of franchising, Petranick acknowledged. And the momentum has continued during 2012.
“Growth of the in-home care industry is accelerating as our aging population continues to demand services in the home that allow them to retain their independence,” explained Allen Hager, founder and chief executive officer for Right at Home. “And with Right at Home’s proven track record, we will continue to attract franchisees who fulfill Right at Home’s mission to improve the quality of life in their local communities.”
Reflecting on the significance of reaching the $1 billion milestone, Hager emphasized, “As wonderful as that is from a financial perspective, all of the success we’re having as a brand is most clearly defined by the impact Right at Home is having day by day in the lives of those we serve.”
Many factors have contributed to the continued success of the Right at Home brand, including a comparatively low initial and ongoing investment for franchisees during a time of unprecedented growth in the senior care market. “We are rapidly approaching nearly 300 U.S. locations that are open and operating,” explained Eric Little, senior vice president of franchise development. “Our development plan for the U.S. includes 500 to 600 domestic locations. Without question, Right at Home is a leader in senior care services.”
Right at Home is on pace to meet its aggressive expansion target of 45 to 60 new locations by the end of 2012, resulting in another record year for the company, according to Little. “Even in a difficult economic environment, the demand for professional in-home elderly care assistance has continued to increase,” Little said.
Citing statistics showing more than 78 million baby boomers living in the U.S., Little noted that 10,000 people a day are turning 65 years of age. “We’re just barely scratching the surface when it comes to providing quality in-home care for those who need it,” Little added. “It’s also a business that has a tremendous level of personal fulfillment.
