“Partnering with Sherdog on Prospect Watch is the ideal forum to introduce and celebrate how NOS can support the next generation of great MMA fighters.”
The Prospect Watch video series chronicles Sherdog editors embarking on a 6 week journey to gyms and training facilities across the U.S. that have bred some of today’s top fighters and are currently home to top prospects. Each video will give a background on that particular gym/training facility and the superstars of MMA that have come out of those respective camps. At each stop along the way, users will get to meet the chosen prospects through up-close-and-personal videos as they train for their next big match and learn some important techniques from their fellow team members of seasoned fighters and coaches. Locations covered by the Sherdog team include American Kickboxing Academy (San Jose, CA), Jackson’s Martial Arts Academy (Albuquerque, NM), American Top Team (Coconut Creek, FL), and Alliance MMA (San Diego, CA).
Also featured on the Prospect Watch custom destination is editorial content and additional video focusing specifically on training, the right types of foods to eat, and the best warm-ups and exercises to strengthen a fighter’s performance. Users can read up on advice and tips from the Prospects themselves, who reveal their personal training rituals that allow them to be in tip-top shape. Editors will also be able to provide a “Lifeline” to users who need assistance in choosing their own fighters for MMA Pick’Em (http://fantasy.sherdog.com/), Sherdog’s fantasy-style challenge game.
“As the global authority on Mixed Martial Arts, Sherdog has created an original video series allowing fans a glimpse inside the lives of up and coming fighters. Prospect Watch will give our audience an exclusive and personal look at what it takes to climb the ladder and possibly become part of the next wave of MMA stars,” said John Keefer, Vice President of Evolve Media Corp. and General Manager of CraveOnline, owner and operator of Sherdog. “NOS has continually been a great supporter of Sherdog and Crave over the years. With their focus on high performance, we could not have found a sponsor more aligned with Prospect Watch.”
“We wanted to get into MMA because it lines up perfectly with our brand. NOS is about providing enhanced mental focus and high-performance, no-nonsense energy—vital elements to MMA success,” said Eric Helms, Director of Marketing for NOS. “Partnering with Sherdog on Prospect Watch is the ideal forum to introduce and celebrate how NOS can support the next generation of great MMA fighters.”
