HORN Assigns CFO Position

LA MIRADA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HORN, a leading national distributor, supplier, marketer, and manufacturer of specialty ingredients, raw materials and chemicals announced the promotion of Julie Wubbena from VP of Finance to CFO. This promotion is in recognition of Julie’s exemplary work over the years in managing the company’s overall financial standing. Going forward, her efforts and contributions will be instrumental as HORN further develops its strategic approach to evaluating new business opportunities.

Julie began her career at HORN as an intern while still in high school and through her college years. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She pursued her career in public accounting at Peat Marwick (currently known as KPMG). Julie returned to HORN in 1988 and served as Controller. She was later promoted to VP of Finance and most recently to CFO. HORN’s CEO, Gene Alley, commented, “Julie has shown extraordinary personal growth and maturity as a financial manager throughout her career at HORN. Julie also serves on the Board of Directors for HORN. Julie is a member of FEI (Financial Executives International). She also is a member of the President’s Corporate Leadership Group at Biola University and has served as a mentor in Biola’s MBA program.
