Julie began her career at HORN as an intern while still in high school and through her college years. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She pursued her career in public accounting at Peat Marwick (currently known as KPMG). Julie returned to HORN in 1988 and served as Controller. She was later promoted to VP of Finance and most recently to CFO. HORN’s CEO, Gene Alley, commented, “Julie has shown extraordinary personal growth and maturity as a financial manager throughout her career at HORN. HORN’s success has introduced the many complexities that accompany sustained growth, increasing government oversight, and the need to comply with a rapidly expanding set of state laws as our geography expands. Julie has handled these challenges very effectively, making it possible for HORN to not only survive but succeed.”
Julie also serves on the Board of Directors for HORN. Julie is a member of FEI (Financial Executives International). She also is a member of the President’s Corporate Leadership Group at Biola University and has served as a mentor in Biola’s MBA program.
