The service is available on iOS, with apps for Android and Facebook planned for the coming weeks.

Apparent solves this by allowing parents to create a secure, private social network of the parents of their children’s friends and classmates, making their social lives much simpler and easier. The platform can send invitations to large groups or specific individuals. Apparent synchronizes all the members’ upcoming events and updates calendars so even parents not using the platform are informed. Apparent’s instant chat makes it easy to coordinate in realtime and parents not on the chat can be called or texted.

Apparent’s “Around Me” location based feature lets users check if others in their network are nearby for those spur-of-the-moment playdates. Around Me also shows nearby locations for parents looking for a locale like a park, restaurant, a show, or indoor play space.
