ATLANTA--()--Stratos Management Systems, Inc., an IT solutions and managed services provider focused on building and maintaining hybrid IT environments, has completed an acquisition of Computex Inc., a leading IT provider of virtualization, storage, networking and data center services. The newly expanded Stratos will now have more than $100 million in revenues and offices in five states: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas.
“Clients need a partner who can help them manage information across traditional, private cloud and public cloud platforms – something we call hybrid IT. Stratos is well positioned to be that partner today and tomorrow as we continue to expand our solutions and geographic reach.”
The acquisition of Computex uniquely positions Stratos as the premier solution provider in the southwestern and central U.S., with the ability to design, deploy and manage an entire enterprise end to end with a mix of on-premise, off-premise and hosted solutions, along with a wide range of cloud computing consulting and professional services.
Computex, based in Houston, provides a scalable platform to serve Fortune 1000 and mid-sized firms in the Southwest and beyond. Computex’s specialties include virtualization, data storage, disaster recovery, networking, servers and professional IT services. Computex has expertise in the energy, health care, manufacturing, professional services, technology and hospitality segments.
“We are thrilled to welcome Computex. With its deep client relationships, talented team, expertise in the data center and reputation for high-quality services, Computex fits perfectly with our strategy to expand into the heartland of the U.S.,” said Ronald G. Farrell, CEO and Vice Chairman of Stratos.
“Jason Haffar (Co-CEO and CFO of Computex) and I are excited to be joining Stratos as shareholders and to be part of the team that helps direct the future growth of the company,” said Sam Haffar, Co-CEO and President of Computex. “Stratos has a strong reputation in managed services and data center solutions, and joining together will help us better serve our current clients by truly transforming their businesses with technology.”
Computex is the second acquisition for Stratos Management Systems, which acquired Nexus Information Systems in March 2012.
“Computex builds on the success of our acquisition of Nexus and positions us for continued rapid growth. The combination of Computex’s data center expertise and engineering depth, with Nexus’ cloud and managed services, gives Stratos the ability to assess, design, build and manage enterprise technology better – and in ways our competition can’t," said Bret Kidd, President of Stratos. "Clients need a partner who can help them manage information across traditional, private cloud and public cloud platforms – something we call hybrid IT. Stratos is well positioned to be that partner today and tomorrow as we continue to expand our solutions and geographic reach.”
