Prior to establishing several prominent Minnesota legal practices, Seymour Mansfield was a leading legal aid lawyer in Illinois and Minnesota, and then the Executive Director and Chief Counsel for Minnesota's largest program for civil legal aid. Continuing his remarkable pro bono activism today, Mansfield was recognized in 2009 at Minnesota’s largest annual legal event, the Law Day Testimonial Dinner, as Fund for Legal Aid Honoree for his life time achievements in supporting legal services and justice for the disadvantaged. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Illinois, before the U.S. Supreme Court and various federal districts and courts of appeal.
