Online Renewal for Health Inspection Program Licensing Now Available at Maine.gov

AUGUSTA, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maine businesses can renew their annual health inspection licenses faster than ever before, using the online service provided by the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Environmental Health. The online service is available at https://www.maine.gov/online/deh/hip/.

The renewal service is available to all of Maine’s licensed eating and lodging establishments, bed & breakfast, catering, schools, commissaries, senior citizen meals, mobile food units, youth camps, campgrounds, compressed air, tobacco, and body-artists.

To renew online, businesses only need their establishment ID number and the PIN number printed on their renewal notice. If a business has a credit on their account it will be reflected in the amount due online. Payments are accepted by Visa and MasterCard.

“The ability to pay online at any time, even up to the last day a license is valid, will help businesses avoid late fees and will facilitate compliance,” remarked Roy.

Licensees will receive an email confirmation of their renewal upon completion of the online transaction and will have the opportunity to sign up to receive an email reminder for next year’s license renewal.
