iJET’s Falguni Sanghani is the 2012 Data Steward of the Year

SAS celebrates data champions everywhere, bestows the second annual Stewie on 2012 Data Stewards Day

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IDEAS Conference-Falguni Sanghani, senior data analyst for iJET International, has been named the 2012 Data Steward of the Year by a panel of her peers. The award, nicknamed the “Stewie,” was bestowed upon Sanghani at SAS’ IDEAS (International Data Event and Symposium) conference in Las Vegas in celebration of Data Stewards Day, the second-annual holiday honoring champions of data and everything they represent. Sanghani received the most nominations - including some in video and PowerPoint form - of any finalist this year and received the highest overall score from the judging panel. The 2012 judging panel featured members of the Data Roundtable, a collection of the nation’s foremost data governance, master data management (MDM), data integration and data quality experts. It includes Jill Dyché, David Loshin, Jim Harris, Phil Simon, Karen Lopez, Joyce Norris-Montanari; as well as 2011 Stewie winner Barbara Deemer of Sallie Mae.

Colleagues recognized Sanghani both for her strategic and tactical excellence, and cited her as a data quality inspiration, a “real dynamo when it comes to data … finding and fixing data quality issues faster than I (can) type this recommendation … she inspires me to dig deeper, know more and never settle for anything but the best outcome of any scenario.”
