BEIJING--()--China Game Developers Conference (CGDC), one of the most influential international conferences on game R&D in China and even across the world, was convened along with ChinaJoy in Shanghai, China at the end of July, 2012. According to the recently issued ChinaJoy 2012 Post-event Report and CGDC 2012 Post-event Report, CGDC is designed to encourage innovation in China’s game industry, introduce China’s original games to the world, share the latest game development achievements and explore the new trends of game development technologies, and it aims to be an international specialized event that facilitates the communication, exchange and cooperation among game developers from every corner of the world.
Held at Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai from July 25th to 27th, 2012, the 5th CGDC gathered over 100 distinguished speakers who delivered enlightening speeches, and the number of audiences hit a record of 4,590 person-times. Among them, Keiji Inafune, former Chief Producer of Capcom and among the world’s top 10 game producers, Bae Jae Hyun, CPO of NCsoft, and David Coghlan, CEO of Havok, a top 3D technology provider, gave keynote speeches on July 25th, 26th and 27th respectively.
In addition to these high-profile keynote speeches, the Online Game Session, Mobile Game Summit, Social Game Summit and Future Summit also presented more content that are highly concerned by the industry professionals which helped make CGDC an important event for technical exchange that deserves special attention of both China and the world’s game industry.
