SAN FRANCISCO--()--Summer Search is thrilled to be one of the six Bay Area philanthropic youth organizations selected to receive funding this football season from the 49ers Foundation. Focused on improving the lives of local youth in need, the 49ers Foundation will donate funding to Summer Search and five other youth organizations each time the 49ers score a touchdown, field goal, interception or sack during the season.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with both the Taube Family Foundation and the Koret Foundation, as we all share a common goal of providing much needed assistance to our local youth”
In partnership with the Taube Family Foundation and the Koret Foundation, the San Francisco 49ers Foundation donated $200,000 to organizations serving Bay Area youth during the inaugural 2011 season and there is much excitement heading into the second season of the Touchdown for Kids Program.
“We are delighted that Summer Search has been chosen as a beneficiary for the Touchdowns for Kids program,” Amy Saxton, CEO of Summer Search commented. “This collaboration will help Summer Search support more high-potential low-income students to develop the character and life skills needed to break the cycle of poverty, complete college and become leaders in our communities. We are thankful to have the 49ers, the Taube Family Foundation and the Koret Foundation joining us to support brighter futures for our local youth.”
