Mintz Levin Names Paul Churchill to Head Growing San Francisco Office

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has announced the addition of Paul Churchill and Evan Nadel as Members to its growing San Francisco office, further enhancing the firm’s West Coast presence and expanding its capabilities in several key areas.

Mr. Churchill, the former head of Goodwin Procter’s San Francisco office and a partner in its Business Law department, has joined as Managing Member of Mintz Levin’s San Francisco office. He is joined by Mr. Nadel, a former shareholder at Greenberg Traurig specializing in technology and class action litigation.

Having played an instrumental role in the growth and development of Goodwin Procter’s San Francisco office, which he established in 2006, Mr. Churchill is one of the leading real estate attorneys in the field, with a practice focused on matters including acquisitions, development, joint ventures, leasing, disposition, secured financing and restructuring work. During his tenure at Goodwin Procter, he led the recruitment of several lateral partners and the development and expansion of multiple practice groups, building the San Francisco office to 30-plus attorneys. Prior to that, Mr. Churchill practiced with Cooley LLP, where he was head of the firm’s Real Estate group for 12 years. Mr. Churchill, who earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America and recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer every year since 2004.

A former shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, Mr. Nadel has spent more than a decade defending putative class actions in California and elsewhere, including consumer products, false advertising and other product liability claims. He will further strengthen Mintz Levin’s technology litigation practice, broaden its class action capabilities and enhance its bi-costal practices. Mr. Nadel also brings extensive experience in commercial litigation involving intellectual property, real estate, insurance and securities and trade secret litigation, with an established practice that complements the firm’s significant capabilities on the West Coast and throughout the country. Voted a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, he is admitted to practice in California, Florida and New York. A phi beta kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
