CAROL STREAM, Ill.--()--It’s the time of year where we start making lists—guest lists for holiday parties, ingredients lists for special feasts, and wish lists for gift giving. It’s that time of year for Connected World magazine, too, which published its 2013 CW 100, a prestigious list of the companies representing the M2M (machine-to-machine) and connected-devices industry.
“Together, these 100 firms really do represent the cream of the crop when it comes to M2M.”
The CW 100 (formerly M2M 100) represents the top companies demonstrating significant market traction and pursuing game-changing technologies in connectivity. The full ranking, including expanded writeups, can be found in the recently published Nov/Dec issue of Connected World. After much deliberation, the editors of Connected World and its editorial advisory board recommend these M2M powerhouses as “good to do business with.”
Since its inaugural year in 2003, the CW 100 has recognized companies based on factors such as sales and earnings growth, contribution to the connected-devices space, and innovation in multiple markets served during the past 12 months. The final 100 are hand selected from a pool of hundreds of firms, both private and publicly traded.
“The companies that made this year’s CW 100 face enormous opportunities and challenges in 2013,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected World magazine. “But we believe these 100 companies are in the best position to take M2M beyond where it’s ever been before; 2013 will be a benchmark year for this market.”
