On behalf of Crain’s New York Business, independent research firm Best Companies Group conducted a survey regarding employer benefits, policies, practices, demographics, etc. Following the initial phase, employees were anonymously surveyed with 72 statements categorized on eight core focus areas: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, compensation, and overall engagement.
