ORLANDO, Fla.--()--IneoQuest Technologies, the global leader in video quality and service assurance solutions, announced today their CALM Act Compliant Solution, that meets all the FCC loudness monitoring requirements, will be showcased at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Cable-Tec Expo 2012 from October 17-19, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. IneoQuest can help Multichannel Video Program Distributors (MVPDs) understand the regulatory requirements and will demonstrate what is necessary for full compliance. IneoQuest’s CALM Act solution protects MVPDs by demonstrating CALM Act compliance on both embedded and inserted commercials.
“Loudness management of both long form and commercial content should be part of the MVPDs comprehensive quality assurance strategy to assure customer satisfaction. IneoQuest’s comprehensive video quality assurance solution fully ensures CALM Act compliance”
With CALM Act rules going into effect on December 13, 2012, MVPDs need to be prepared to validate compliance for both inserted and embedded commercials, even on certified content. IneoQuest automatically checks hundreds programs simultaneously every second for loudness and logs deviations. The IneoQuest solution captures thumbnail images of the monitored video on a 24/7 basis and exports the needed reports for archiving, allowing operators to quickly and easily correlate monitoring data with the video asset being played. Providing real-time monitoring and analytics of audio loudness for TV programming and digitally inserted commercials, IneoQuest’s solution helps ensure broadcasters and MVPDs are in compliance with the CALM Act and the coming CRTC 2011-584 regulations.
Expedus® DVA® IP, the award-winning QoS and QoE probe, is the cornerstone of IneoQuest's CALM Compliant Solution. Expedus DVA IP verifies the content being processed and proactively ensures that the audio and video quality is preserved throughout the network. Expedus DVA IP provides an automated in-depth analysis in real time with historical context that certifies all commercials adhere to CALM Act regulations.
“Loudness management of both long form and commercial content should be part of the MVPDs comprehensive quality assurance strategy to assure customer satisfaction. IneoQuest’s comprehensive video quality assurance solution fully ensures CALM Act compliance,” says Jim Welch, Director of Product Management at IneoQuest Technologies.
Along with IneoQuest’s CALM Act solution, IneoQuest will be showcasing their Business Intelligence solution and RF Spectrum Audit along with the Cricket QAM Plus with Out-of-Band (OOB) probe at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2012.
