PROVIDENCE, R.I.--()--LIN Media (NYSE: TVL), a local multimedia company, today announced the appointment of Ronald S. Allen to Counsel, Labor and Employment. Mr. Allen will oversee labor and employment law matters, and will report directly to Denise Parent, Senior Vice President Chief Legal Officer of LIN Media.

Mr. Allen has specialized experience in labor and employment litigation, employment law counseling and traditional labor relations. He most recently held the position of Manager, Labor Relations for Otis Elevator Company in Farmington, CT. Prior to that position, Mr. Allen was a Labor and Employment Associate at Littler Mendelson P.C. and Morgan, Brown, & Joy LLP, both located in Boston. He also served as a law clerk in the Office of the General Counsel for the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC, as well as in the Labor Bureau for the Office of the Attorney General in New York, NY.

Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College and his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association and Northeast Human Resources Association.
