MONTVALE, N.J.--(Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) examination.)--The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA®), the certification division of IMA®, today announced the leading performers on its

IMA’s globally recognized CMA program is a relevant assessment of advanced accounting and financial management knowledge in four critical areas: financial planning, analysis, control, and decision support. The CMA assures employers that an individual has mastered the knowledge and skills needed on the job today.
Of the approximately more than 3,700 individuals who took the CMA exam during the May/June 2012 testing period, medals were awarded to the following individuals for their exceptional performance:
- Dr. Zhe Wang, of Charleston, Ill., received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest exam score.
- Cody Veit, of Robinson, Texas, received the ICMA Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest exam score.
- Marie-France Baume, of Le Noirmont, Switzerland, received the ICMA Bronze Medal for achieving the third-highest exam score.
- Robert Bellile, of New London, Wis., received the Priscilla S. Payne Student Performance award for achieving the highest score as a student.
In addition, the following individuals were awarded Certificates of Distinguished Performance for their high exam scores: Ketan Rasiklal Dhruv, of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Philip T. Gilmor, of Liberty, Mo.; Songlin Han, of Shanghai, People’s Republic of China; Albert Iglesias Nabau, of New Taipai City, Taiwan; Robert S. Patrick, of Billings, Mont.; Roy Ryan Piercy, of Chesapeake, Va.; Dr. Isho Tama Sweet, of Fullerton, Calif.; and Matthew Stephen Wolf, of Erie, Pa.

Professionals holding IMA’s CMA credential earn an average of 32 percent more in total compensation compared to noncertified professionals, according to IMA’s 2011 Annual Salary Survey, published in the June 2012 issue of Strategic Finance.
