“Azaleos recently surpassed 1 million seats under management and is one of the first Microsoft partners to support the Office 2013 platform and its core components – Exchange, SharePoint and Lync,” said Scott Gode, vice president of product management and marketing for Azaleos. “Our staff of certified experts has unmatched experience in architecture planning, deployment, migration and management for the entire Microsoft Office stack which is critical for ensuring high availability and a great end user experience for customers.”
Key New 2013 Enhancements
Unlike the Office 365 public cloud approach, Azaleos managed Exchange 2013, managed SharePoint 2013 and managed Lync 2013 services fully support and take advantage of 100% of the new features available with these server releases. Based on operations data and feedback from customers, the following 2013 Wave features will likely play a major role in driving adoption of these products:
SharePoint App Management Service – which allows administrators to more easily manage SharePoint apps which are either created internally or downloaded from the new SharePoint Marketplace
New Lync Enterprise Voice and Video Features – such as support for multiple trunks between mediation servers and gateways, intertrunk routing that enables Lync Server to support different phone systems and manage/delegate simultaneous ring and caller ID presentation, and Video Gallery view to support up to five simultaneous video streams.
Exchange Modern Public Folders – which resemble public folder mailboxes, use regular mailbox databases and can be integrated with a database availability group for disaster recovery.
Cross Server Integration – such as Site Mailboxes which bring Exchange emails and SharePoint documents together, a shared eDiscovery center used by all three products, FAST search in Exchange for a more consistent indexing and searching experience, a unified contact store (between Exchange and Lync) and the Lync archiving connection to Exchange Litigation Hold.
Pricing and Availability
Azaleos managed Exchange 2013, managed SharePoint 2013 and managed Lync 2013 will be available in mid-November (in conjunction with 2013 product availability from Microsoft) from Azaleos and select business partners. Per user/per month subscription pricing starts at $5 and varies based on volume, type of deployment and number of services.
