BURLINGTON, Mass.--()--Certeon, the application performance company, today announced that Total Produce selected Certeon’s aCelera virtual appliance to reduce replication times, avoid bandwidth upgrades, and decrease risk while leveraging its existing infrastructure.
“Total Produce deployed a combined solution of Certeon’s aCelera and Veeam’s Backup & Replication working together in a virtual infrastructure, to provide a scalable solution that significantly improved backup and replication performance”
Total Produce wanted to use Veeam Backup & Replication software for daily replications of their VMware virtual machines to a remote Disaster Recovery site over a 10Mbps WAN network connection and to minimize their data loss risk windows, as well as transfer their Oracle database to their DR location every 15 minutes - without impacting the WAN.
“Previous to selecting Certeon’s aCelera we had tested two competitors, none matched the combination of performance, flexibility, scalability, cost of acquisition and long-term ownership as well as Cloud friendliness that Certeon delivered,” said Neil Fraser, Network Manager at Total Produce. The first solution, provided good performance, but the level of investment required was hard to justify by Total Produce. The second solution, while affordable, did not have neither the performance nor the feature set desired by Total Produce. Only aCelera provided results and features at a price point that was much more affordable for Total Produce.
“Total Produce deployed a combined solution of Certeon’s aCelera and Veeam’s Backup & Replication working together in a virtual infrastructure, to provide a scalable solution that significantly improved backup and replication performance,” said Massood Zarrabian, CEO of Certeon. He went on to say, “We are honored to have Total Produce select us. This is another proof point that Certeon’s strategy of delivering a software platform to enable progressive organizations to deploy a single integrated solution that is managed through a singular interface and deployed across data center, private and public cloud is being well accepted by customers.”
aCelera provides the best performance/cost ratio in the market place and capabilities that include network optimization, application specific optimization blueprints, mobile support, support for Windows Server, as well as a broad and deep functionality with a unique approach to pricing that provides the elasticity needed for today’s IT organizations. Certeon is regularly acknowledged for its industry leading solutions. In addition, aCelera reduces the backup and replication times of many of the industry’s leading backup, recovery and replication solutions including, but not limited to, CA XOSoft, Commvault, Dell Compellent, Dell EqualLogic, Double-Take, EMC Celerra Replicator, EMC SRDF/A, FalconStor, Hitachi HDS, HP LeftHand (HP P4000), IBM Tivoli Fast Back, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, NetApp SnapMirror, Symantec NetBackup and Veeam.
Certeon was named a MITX Innovation Awards Finalist, a Best of Interop Finalist and the EMA WAN Optimization Solution with the Strongest Virtualized Architecture.
