International Association of Emergency Managers Names Capella University PhD Student as Student of the Year

Mark Warnick, who is earning his PhD in Public Safety from the online university, will be honored at the upcoming IAEM 60^th annual conference in Orlando

Mark Warnick, M. The Student of the Year award recognizes a student who has made significant contributions to the field of emergency and disaster management through volunteer work, promotion of the field, and contribution in their community. High academic achievement is also required. Warnick is the Treasurer for the IAEM Student Region and is the Treasurer/Secretary of the Capella IAEM Chapter. In addition, Warnick is active training local firefighters and consults on disaster preparedness.
