Bruce Rauner Retires from GTCR

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GTCR, a leading private equity firm, today announced that Bruce Rauner has retired from the firm to devote more of his time to civic and philanthropic interests. Mr. Rauner’s retirement completes the transition plan jointly developed by him and the firm. Mr. Rauner joined GTCR in 1981.

As well, Mr. Rauner is Chairman of the Education Committee of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, Chairman of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, Chairman of ACT Charter School and Past Chairman of the Chicago Public Education Fund.
